The Magic of Community: Soulful Connections in Local Places

Oooh boy! Do I have some wild dreams entertaining my dream-conscious mind lately. One recent dream had me hosting a giant community feast—almost every local person I know was there. It felt like a scene out of a movie, filled with laughter, food, music, and connection. At first, I brushed it off as far-fetched, but the more I sat with it, the more I realized… it’s already happening.
Last Friday, I hosted the 4th Annual Yoga Powwow at Little Red. And my goodness—it was heart-warming magic. This year, for the first time, we welcomed little ones, which brought a playful, light-hearted energy to the circle. To witness so many souls practicing yoga and tai chi on the very land where I married my husband not long ago gave me goosebumps. It felt like my dream was already coming true, piece by piece.
These are the moments that remind me how close we really are to the dream of living in soul-connected community. When I’m in my own little bubble, it can be easy to forget the progress we’ve made. But events like the Powwow—and Paint N Sip events I hosted just weeks ago—are beautiful reminders that we are creating something powerful, together.
Even though the world can feel overwhelming, uncertain, and divisive, the medicine of community is alive and well. Having people around you who support, understand, and uplift you can shift everything. Community is nourishment for the soul. And family, as I’ve come to know, isn’t always blood—it’s soulful.

Here in the Upper Valley and beyond, we are so lucky. Whether you’re a New England native or new to the area, there are countless opportunities to meet others who are on the same journey toward healing, joy, and expression.
Here are just a few upcoming events where you can plug in, feel inspired, and maybe even find your next soul friend:
Held just down the road, this festival is a celebration of music, nature, and heart-centered community. Think campfire jams, dancing under the stars, and conversations that linger long after the sun sets.
🌿 Green Mountain Reggae Festival – September 5–7
A vibrant, high-vibe gathering filled with good rhythms, dancing feet, and the kind of energy that clears the static and realigns your spirit. Reggae is more than a genre—it’s a feeling, and one that heals through rhythm and community.
From art exhibits to live music, paint n sips to wellness talks, Alumni Hall continues to be a hub for culture, creativity, and connection right in our backyard. Keep your eye on their calendar—you never know what magic you’ll stumble upon.

When we show up, when we say yes to connection, and when we allow ourselves to be seen and heard, something inside of us wakes up.
If you’ve been feeling isolated, out of place, or unsure of where you belong—know this: the right people, the right conversations, the right soul family is out there. And they’re likely closer than you think.
Keep dreaming. Keep gathering. Keep building what you wish existed.
I’ll see you out there. 🌿🌞❤️
